Commercial & Operating Readiness Check
A five-question check for buyer clarity, pipeline evidence, client handoffs, account ownership, and practical AI controls. Answer from current evidence, not from what the process is supposed to look like.
Five questions
01
Buyer and offer
Can the team name the priority buyer, the urgent problem, and the reason to choose this offer in the same plain language?
If the answer changes by person or meeting, discovery and positioning are still doing too much work.
02
Pipeline
Does every active opportunity have buyer evidence, a real next action, an owner, and a reason it belongs in its current stage?
If stages reflect optimism, forecasting and follow-up will stay noisy.
03
Sales-to-delivery handoff
When work is won, do the buyer context, promises, decisions, risks, and success criteria move with it?
If delivery has to rediscover the deal, the handoff is costing trust and time.
04
Projects and accounts
Can a leader see the outcome, owner, next action, risk, and decision needed for each priority workstream without another status meeting?
If context lives in individual memory, delivery becomes fragile as volume grows.
05
Practical AI
Is one recurring AI-assisted workflow tied to reliable sources, a human review point, a system of record, and a measurable definition of done?
If not, faster drafts may simply create faster rework and more duplicate entry.
How to read the result
4–5 clear answers
The foundation is sound. Improve one visible bottleneck rather than redesigning the whole system.
2–3 clear answers
A focused sprint can connect the gaps and establish one operating rhythm the team can maintain.
0–1 clear answers
Stabilize buyer, ownership, and evidence basics before buying more tools or adding automation.
This is a conversation tool, not a maturity certification or a guaranteed predictor of performance.
Which answer was hardest to defend?
That is usually the best place to start. Share the bottleneck and we’ll tell you whether a focused commercial, operating, or practical AI sprint makes sense.
